LA 21 Widening (Bootlegger to 11th) – State Project No. H.001340

COVINGTON, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the completion of the project to widen La. 21 from Bootlegger Road to 11th Avenue in St. Tammany Parish, a $16.8 million capacity improvement effort.
The project constructed a new 2-lane bridge adjacent to the existing bridge and included access management to improve traffic flow. Access management is the control of access connections on a roadway. Access connections can include driveways, streets, and other means of connecting to a roadway. La. 21 carries an estimated 30,000 motorists, daily.
JB James Construction, LLC was the contractor.
