ST. CHARLES PARISH, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces the start of a $609,155 project to install approximately three miles of median cable barriers along ground-level portions of Interstate 310 from U.S. 90 to U.S. 61, in St. Charles Parish, beginning Monday, September 25, 2017.

The contractor, Massana Construction Inc., will be working Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., with intermittent inside lane and shoulder closures. The project, designed to improve safety, is estimated for completion by January 2018.

All construction activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
