DOTD and Bayou Vermilion District announce temporary closure of North Landing boat launch

LAFAYETTE, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, in conjunction with the Bayou Vermilion District, announces that the North Landing boat launch will be temporary closed beginning Monday, June 5, until further notice.
This closure is necessary to allow construction to take place related to the FASTLANE I-10 widening project.
The Beaver Park and Rotary Point boat launches will be accessible to the public during the closure.
The $124.7 million I-10 widening project will involve widening a 7.11-mile section from I-49 to Breaux Bridge. The project will include pavement replacement within the existing lanes and the construction of one additional lane in each direction along I-10 from I-49 to La 328 (Breaux Bridge).
The project began in May 2017 and is estimated for completion in fall 2019.
