Hale Boggs (Luling) Bridge scheduled for inspection; lane and shoulder closures planned through February

LULING, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces closures for north and southbound Interstate 310/Hale Boggs (Luling) Bridge affecting the main bridge spans over the Mississipppi River. Right lane and right shoulder closures are scheduled for Monday, Jan. 16 through Friday, Feb. 24, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., daily, for bridge inspection.

The alternate route is the Huey P. Long Bridge.

All inspection activity is weather dependent and may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather. DOTD appreciates the motoring public’s patience and reminds drivers to please exercise caution when traveling through work zone areas and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment. Area residents should exercise caution when driving, walking or biking near an active work zone.
