The $17.7 million project to clean and paint US 90 over the Mississippi River (GNO2) began in January 2016. Work completed includes cleaning, painting, and structural repairs on the span over Algiers, the span between the navigation green light and Algiers, and the span between the navigation green light and New Orleans. The area over the Port of New Orleans parking lot is next to be completed. The project is estimated to be finished in mid-2017. Intech Contracting, LLC is performing the work.

All planned construction activities may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or special events. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through this and other highway work zones. Also, be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.
