DOTD announces closures at I-610 for roadway maintenance

NEW ORLEANS, La. – The Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development announces weekend closures for eastbound and westbound Interstate 610 for bridge joint repairs.
• Westbound I-610 will be closed from 9 p.m. Friday, May 13 through 7 a.m. Saturday, May 14.
• Eastbound I-610 will be closed from 9 p.m. Saturday, May 14 through 8 a.m. Sunday, May 15.
The suggested alternate route for I-610 westbound is I-10 westbound through New Orleans Central Business District. Motorists traveling eastbound should also detour via the CBD.
All planned construction activities may be rescheduled in the event of inclement weather or special events. DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to drive with caution through this and other highway work zones. Also, be alert for the presence of construction workers and equipment.
